What To Expect

The Manufacturing Quality Data Engineering team specializes in predicting safety critical issues before they occur, protecting our customers. As part of Tesla's Vehicle Engineering organization, you'll have access to the data gold mine of design, manufacturing, and vehicle data sources, enabling you to design, develop, and deploy innovative generative AI and machine learning platforms globally. In this role, you will focus on full-stack development global data platforms and web applications.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain Tesla's internal web applications and engineering tools focused on Industry 4.0, equipment sensors, and vehicle data managemen

Architect new systems, including databases and integration frameworks, to support robust and scalable solutions

Integrate with backend APIs, collaborating closely with backend developers to refine expected payloads, responses, and overall API interactions

Develop interactive frontend interfaces using React for user interface, system configuration, and execution workflows, ensuring responsive and intuitive user experiences

Build elegant, reliable, and scalable APIs in Python or Go to facilitate seamless interactions with applications, systems, and databases

Design and implement real-time software systems leveraging technologies like Kafka for efficient data streaming and processing

Partner with data and machine learning engineers to deploy interactive solutions into production through agile, rapid iteration cycles, while championing best software engineering practices including code reviews, design documentation, and ensuring code quality

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

3+ years of work experience in software engineering or related fields

Expert knowledge and experience in writing Python/Go APIs with REST/gRPC standard

Strong attention to details and diligent in unit testing and integration testing practices

Experience with SQL and NOSQL database and good knowledge in query optimization, such as MySQL, MicrosoftSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka

Experience with web technologies and web framework (React)

Expected Compensation

$140,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
