State Fund has an exciting opportunity for an Information Technology Specialist II (Senior DevOps Engineer) in our Network Operations division within the Application Support Unit. In the role of DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for code builds and deployments to pre-production and production environments in support of State Fund applications. Responsibilities include technical and management escalation, reporting, monitoring, and ownership of pre-production and production deployments and incidents.
Under the supervision of the Information Technology Manager I, the incumbent has an expert level of knowledge and experience in the Information Technology field to provide automation, support, planning, configuration, installation, troubleshooting and testing for hardware and software upgrades and deployments. As a team and project lead, the incumbent will perform complex analysis to identify the best IT solutions to troubleshoot escalated incidents and remediate security vulnerabilities on servers and implementation of new environments. The successful candidate will perform complex technical activities as relates to support of multiple environments including Production level troubleshooting and support while using the latest technology and tools.
The incumbent will consistently demonstrate complex, expert ability in environment technical design; as well as, have a broad understanding of the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of pre-production and production environments. The incumbent collaborates effectively with other business and technical experts to secure the resources, expertise, and approvals to assist the Information Technology Manager I in the implementation of large scale information technology (IT) solutions.
The Senior DevOps Engineer will be a lead on the DevOps team and is responsible for system administration areas including monitoring, installation, configuration, maintenance, operations, and architecture of AWS cloud environments and on premise environments. The candidate will work within a team in implementing and maintaining all production and pre-production environments by implementing tools and automation. Looking for a candidate with exceptional DevOps skills and should have extensive knowledge and experience in implementing solutions and tools to maintain and grow all application environments. Most importantly, the right individual will possess a positive, “can-do” attitude and a passion for delivering technical solutions in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the individual will be dedicated, independent, and collaborate at a high level in ensure the stability and reliability of infrastructure and applications running in the AWS Cloud and on premise environments. Advanced experience working in AWS environments will be expected while leading the implementing of improvements and advancements.
