The Video Devices Teams in the R&D center in Krakow have been growing dynamically since 2019. Currently, we have more than 60 specialists on board working on solutions for fixed and mobile (body-worn) cameras. We bring advanced video capabilities to public safety and commercial customers including healthcare, airports, retail, critical infrastructure, and public venues.
You will join the Krakow Unity Firmware Team, a group responsible for developing camera firmware built primarily using C++. We are looking for a team player who enjoys solving complex problems and is eager to improve the development environment and operational workflows. This is a unique opportunity to work in an environment where software interacts directly with hardware components, collaborating with firmware engineers and hardware engineers located in Poland as well as in North America and Asia.
We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to improve and enhance the way our development environment is operating and lead the necessary changes in the infrastructure. In this role, you will not only maintain our build environment but actively shape the future of our CI/CD workflows.
You will collaborate closely with other DevOps engineers as well as firmware developers, hardware engineers, and QA to optimize costs and automate workflows.
What You’ll Do
Build Environment: Create, maintain, and optimize the environment for build systems, ensuring consistency across development and production stages.
Sanity Checks: Monitor existing CI/CD sanity check workflows, specifically overseeing daily firmware tests running on real camera hardware to ensure immediate feedback on code health.
Lab Infrastructure: Maintain and manage servers in the lab environment with support from the Lab Admin team.
Hardware Support: Provide operational support for lab infrastructure, including troubleshooting failing lab cameras or network issues to minimize downtime for the development team.
AI Support Tools: Support and create new AI-enabled internal tools to assist developers in day to day work (e.g. in debugging complex issues)
QA Collaboration: Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to define the scope of automated testing and optimize workflows to reduce recurrent infrastructure costs.
