At Apple, we don’t just build products — we create experiences that redefine entire industries. It’s the diversity of our people and their ideas that fuels innovation across everything we do, from breakthrough technologies to industry-leading environmental efforts. Join Apple and help us leave the world better than we found it. As a Senior Standardisation Engineer, you will represent Apple in key standards development organizations (SDOs) and help drive Apple’s strategic interests across China and global ecosystems. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape emerging standards in areas such as wireless, AI, smart home, and new tech, while contributing to innovations that directly impact Apple’s products and generate new IP. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and policy teams to align standardisation efforts with Apple’s product vision.
In this role, you will drive the development and influence of standards and specifications relevant to Apple’s products in China. You will actively participate in standardisation activities across multiple domains by contributing to working groups, drafting technical proposals, and engaging in plenary discussions. You will collaborate closely with Apple’s product and engineering teams to ensure alignment between standardisation strategies and product roadmaps. This includes identifying opportunities where standards can enable new features, improve interoperability, enhance security, and deliver differentiated user experiences. Success in this role requires a combination of technical depth, strategic thinking, and a passion for innovation — bringing forward ideas that not only shape industry standards but also elevate Apple’s products and ecosystem.
Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity, and thus we treat all applicants fairly and equally. Apple is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with physical and mental disabilities.
