Are you looking for a fast-paced and challenging position that will provide you with extremely valuable SQL Database Administration experience, extensive variety, and frequent exposure to managers and staff in the Information Technology Branch? The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the SQL Server Database Administration Group.
The Information Technology Specialist I provides technical expertise as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator for the SQL Server Database Group at EDD. Responsibilities include engineer level technical tasks to produce a robust SQL server environment. In addition to performing maintenance, operations, and enhancement tasks in the SQL environment, the database administrator works collaboratively with ITB support teams to ensure the successful integration of SQL databases with applications, troubleshoots SQL database related application issues, test new patches and new releases, and assists in resolving critical production failures.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
Position is located at EDD's newly built headquarters located at 1416 9th street, Sacramento, California.
