Akkodis is seeking a Databricks Developer for a Contract with a client in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Databricks and PySpark, a key requirement for delivering high‑performance analytics platforms.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $52/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Databricks Developer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Databricks, Spark (PySpark), SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Build, optimize, and automate ETL/ELT workflows to ensure high performance, reliability, and efficient data processing.
• Implement strong data quality practices including validation, cleansing, and monitoring across pipeline workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, cloud‑native lakehouse solutions.
• Optimize data processing jobs for performance and cost efficiency within cloud environments.
• Participate in architectural design discussions, contributing to best practices for data modeling, pipeline scalability, and platform governance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of overall experience, with strong hands‑on expertise in Databricks and Spark (PySpark).
• Proven experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native data engineering practices, performance optimization, and secure lakehouse architectures.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $52.00 per hour
