Junior Full Stack Developer (MEKS)

COLSA Corporation is currently seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to assist in the design, development, troubleshooting and analysis of core and enhanced features for multiple Military Equipment Knowledge System (MEKS) software releases to improve features and bolster data quality and quantity.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

  • Assists in the design, development, troubleshooting and analysis of software programs for computer-based systems.
  • Develop front-end and backend code for a cloud-based application supporting the Military Equipment Knowledge System (MEKS)
  • Programming using ASP.NET, C#, and Angular or other languages
  • Assists in designing, developing, testing, and implementing software programs
  • Assists in analyzing user’s software program needs and assists in troubleshooting
  • Assists in the design and development of software using basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems
  • May perform or assist in systems modeling, simulation and analysis.
  • May provide input for documentation of new or existing programs

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline
  • 1 to 5 years of demonstrated related experience
  • Working knowledge of desktop applications including Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Experience with Python, Matlab, Visual Studio, .NET, and Power BI
  • Experience with front-end and back-end development utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or SQL
  • Experience across a full stack of software development technologies with proficiency of both front-end and back-end coding disciplines and software architectural principles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570/8140 Baseline Certification (Security+ CE, SSCP, or equivalent) within 90 days of hire
  • U.S. Citizenship required; Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance within 6 months of hire date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Posess the technical knowledge (demonstrated via experience and/or college-level project work) and understanding of software development principles for both front-end and back-end development
  • Experience with C#, JavaScript, and SQL is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership or project management experience is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working well in a group/team-oriented, collaborative environment
