Client is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer (MDM specialization) to join team in Salt Lake City, UT.

As a consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling AI-powered and data-driven product features using IBM Infosphere MDM, Product Mastering Extension (PME), and Stewardship Center (IBM BAW).
How you'll make an impact
. Design, develop, and maintain solutions using IBM Infosphere MDM and IBM Product Mastering Extension (PME) to support enterprise data management initiatives
. Configure and enhance IBM Stewardship Center (on IBM BAW) workflows to improve data governance, stewardship, and business process efficiency
. Develop and customize applications using Java to extend MDM functionalities and integrate with other enterprise systems
. Utilize IBM Integration Server Enterprise (ISE) and Advanced Workflows (AW) to implement scalable data integration and orchestration solutions
. Collaborate with Product Management and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define use cases, and translate them into technical solutions
. Design and implement distributed system components, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance
. Apply strong knowledge of data structures, design patterns, and software engineering principles to build robust applications
. Follow and contribute to Agile development practices (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
What you'll bring
. 3+ years of development experience
. IBM Infosphere MDM (Master Data Management)
. IBM PME (Product Mastering Extension)
. IBM Stewardship Center (built on IBM BAW)
. Java (for extensions/customization)
. IBM ISE (required for at least one member)
. IBM ISE Experience with AW (Advanced Workflows or related IBM components)
. Solid understanding of distributed systems, data structures, design principles
. Agile Development Methodologies (e.g. SAFe, Kanban, Scrum)
. Comfortable communicating with teams via showcases/demos
. Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Bachelor’s in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills
. Collaborate with Product Management and business partners to understand use case requirements and reporting
. Adhere to internal development best practices/lifecycle (e.g. Testing, Code Reviews, CI/CD, Documentation)
. Document and showcase feature designs/workflows
. Participate in team meetings and discussions around product development
. Stay up to date on industry latest industry trends and design patterns
