Audio-Visual Technician, II

The University of Utah Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training is looking for two

Doctoral of Physical Therapy students per cohort to run and maintain the A/V equipment used

to connect our sites in Salt Lake City and St. George, UT.

They will also help clean and maintain the lab spaces, as well as other responsibilities as necessary. Some A/V or computer technical support experience is preferred, but not required.

There will be occasional work required during school breaks and on Saturdays, usually once a semester.

This job requires students to be eligible for and have accepted federal Work-Study funds.

Troubleshooting equipment and computers will be required, as well as communicating what’s happening to the rest of the team. Training and additional support will be provided.

Minimum Qualifications

EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:

Audio-Visual Technician, II: Requires at least 1 year of related experience.

Preferences

University of Utah students who have been awarded a Federal Work-Study Award for the current year.

Must be accepted to or enrolled in the Doctoral of Physical Therapy program.

Experience with Zoom or similar online meetings software is a must.

Some A/V or computer technical support experience is preferred, but not required.

Good spoken and written communication skills.

Work well in a team.
