Setup Technician / CNC Machine Operator
Location: Irwin
Pay Rate: $23–$27/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift — Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM OR 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Description
The Setup Technician / CNC Machine Operator supports production by setting up and operating CNC equipment. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with basic familiarity with CNC machinery. Minor programming experience is a plus but not required. This position provides support to machine attendants and entry-level operators to ensure efficient and accurate production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tooling setup and changeovers
- Complete fixture changeovers as required
- Run first-piece parts and perform inspections
- Make minor CNC program edits as needed
- Monitor machine operations to maintain quality and efficiency
- Support machine attendants and entry-level operators
- Identify and report tooling, machine, or quality issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Familiarity with CNC machines (lathe or mill)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Minor CNC programming knowledge is a plus
- Ability to use measuring tools for basic inspections
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to work in a production environment
