SALARY RANGE: 89,273.60 - 138,361.60YEARLY

General Summary:

Responsible for applying knowledge of engineering and construction procedures, methods and applicable codes to assist in the review and scheduling of renovation and construction projects. Coordinates the construction phase of all building and utility projects including general and mechanical work from contract award through warranty.

Department team members are authorized to have limited access to secured medication rooms to perform duties and responsibilities as defined in this job description. Any staff member requiring limited access to secured medication rooms must have a fully completed and signed Medication Security Agreement for Non-Licensed Personnel form on file and available upon request.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervises Bayhealth maintenance personnel and sub-contractors in the completion of assigned construction projects.

2. Reviews drawings and specifications before all construction projects commence; maintains and updates drawings and specifications during the life of the project. Ensures all information is current and accurate upon project completion.

3. Receives, evaluates, distributes, and responds to project contract correspondence; prepares construction change notifications; processes change orders, pricing, and negotiations.

4. Coordinates inspections throughout the life of the project and includes all final inspections to assure quality of material and work. Initiates punch list inspections and coordinates with the appropriate technical personnel.

5. Participates in the Building Commissioning process, including equipment start-up, testing, optimizing operation, obtaining operation instructions, and identifying equipment with special requirements.

6. All other duties as assigned, within the scope and range of job responsibility.
