Our mission is to undertake projects spanning various industries, including Consumer and Manufacturing, Defence and Security, Energy and Utilities, Financial Services, Government and Public Services, Health and Life Sciences, and Transport.

We are looking for a Senior AI/Data Platform Engineer with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform to design, build, and operate scalable, AI‑ready data platforms. This hands‑on platform engineering role focuses on creating robust data foundations that enable advanced AI and GenAI use cases at enterprise scale, rather than on pure modeling or research.
Responsibilities
1. GCP AI data platforms (primary focus)
- Design and operate GCP‑based data platforms for analytics, ML, and GenAI
- Build scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, or equivalents
- Design data architectures that support high‑performance AI and ML workloads
- Integrate structured and unstructured data sources at enterprise scale
2. AI & GenAI enablement
- Enable GenAI use cases such as RAG, semantic search, and AI agents on GCP
- Implement embedding pipelines and vector search solutions (e.g. BigQuery, Vertex AI, or vector databases)
- Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to support end‑to‑end AI workflows
- Support deployment and operation of AI workloads using Vertex AI or equivalent services
3. Platform reliability & optimization
- Monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and cost of GCP data platforms
- Implement CI/CD, data quality, and observability practices
- Contribute to platform standards, reference architectures, and best practices
Here's what you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or AI data platform roles
- Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Deep experience with BigQuery and cloud‑native data architectures
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages
- Practical understanding of AI/ML/GenAI data requirements
- Experience operating production data platforms at enterprise scale
Nice to have
- Experience with Vertex AI and managed ML services
- Familiarity with streaming technologies (e.g. Pub/Sub, Dataflow streaming)
- Multi‑cloud experience (AWS, Azure + GCP)
- Experience in consulting or complex, multi‑project environments
