Nesco Resource is looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler in Danbury, CT. This position is a contract position for the right candidate. Length of assignment is TBD. Schedule is as follows: Monday- Friday, 7AM-3:30PM. Pay is $21/hour.

Job Description:

The material handler will be in charge of moving materials with a forklift, creating labels for shipping/receiving, removing cardboard, assembling and reassembling racks, tracking inventory for the buyer and planner and packing actuators as needed. Position is in the warehouse/logistics team and will report directly to the warehouse manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete all assigned duties. Will be measured by the following:
  • Moving material in and out of palette racks with forklift.
  • Moving required materials with forklift to assembly team.
  • Creating labels for sub assembly using Microsoft Word.
  • Removing waste cardboard and lumber to dumpsters.
  • Assembling and reassembling pallet racks and shelves.
  • Taking inventory counts.

Job Requirements:

• Forklift certification.
• Knowledge of scales and weigh counts.
• Must have adequate reading and writing skills to create and read labels.
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
