Software Engineer Lead

Contract to Hire | Onsite – 5 Days/Week

Interview: 1st round is virtual with a panel.

Job Summary

The Software Engineer Lead serves as the primary technical authority for the team, driving design, development, and delivery of enterprise payment solutions within Corporate & Institutional Banking. This role focuses on building and enhancing B2B payment systems, including SWIFT and real-time payment platforms. The lead will provide hands-on development, technical direction, and mentorship while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.

Must Have

  • Java (Strong backend development)
  • API / Microservices development
  • CI/CD Pipeline (Jenkins, GitHub, etc.)
  • MongoDB
  • Oracle Database
  • OpenShift / OCP (Kubernetes platform experience)

Nice to Have

  • Payments domain experience (Corporate / B2B Payments)
  • SWIFT Network knowledge
  • GPP (Global Payment Platform)
  • IPF (Immediate Payment Framework)
  • Agile / Scrum experience
  • JIRA

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development team
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable payment applications
  • Lead API and microservices-based architecture development
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Mentor junior developers and promote best practices
  • Drive code quality, testing, and documentation standards
  • Participate in system design, performance tuning, and optimization
