Required Qualifications ● Distributed Systems & Microservices: Mastery of architecting decoupled, scalable full-stack applications. Expert-level proficiency in designing RESTful and gRPC APIs with a focus on contract-first development and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). ● Multi-Paradigm Programming Proficiency: Expert-level command of core back-end languages such as Python, Go, or Java, alongside deep experience in modern front-end ecosystems (e.g., React/Next.js, Node.js). Skilled in using scripting tools (Bash, PowerShell) to automate complex system tasks. ● State Management & Data Persistence: Deep knowledge of complex data modeling across relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (NoSQL, Vector DBs) systems, emphasizing data integrity, ACID compliance, and efficient retrieval for high-stakes sectors like healthcare and defense. ● Advanced Design Patterns: Mastery of applying MVC, Dependency Injection, and Observer patterns to create extensible codebases. Ability to design modular systems where business logic is strictly decoupled from third-party integrations. ● Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) & Orchestration: Strategic proficiency in deploying and managing containerized workloads across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s). Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure reproducible environments. ● Comprehensive Testing Rigor: Hands-on experience designing and implementing multi-tier testing strategies, including Unit, Integration, and Architecture testing (e.g., ensuring dependency rules are enforced) to maintain 99.9% system reliability. Preferred Qualifications AI/ML Integration & Middleware Architecture ● AI Integration & Middleware Development: Hands-on experience building the middleware layers that wrap LLMs and Generative AI frameworks. Specialized in creating modular "orchestration brains" that manage state, memory, and tool-calling while maintaining strict data protection. ● Modular & Extensible AI Design: Ability to apply SOLID principles to AI workflows, ensuring infrastructure adheres to Strategy or Adapter patterns for seamless switching between providers (e.g., swapping GPT-4 for Llama 3). ● Event-Driven & Reactive AI Systems: Experience designing asynchronous systems using message brokers (SNS/SQS, Pub/Sub, or EventGrid) to handle high-latency inference tasks without blocking user-facing services. ● Architecting for AI Reliability: Proven ability to design highly available systems that account for AI-specific failure modes, such as fallback mechanisms for API rate limits and circuit breakers for non-deterministic model calls. ● Security First: Background in Zero Trust architecture and secure software development lifecycles (SSDLC). ● Technical Stewardship: Experience conducting rigorous Architectural Design Reviews, identifying systemic risks in proposed AI integrations, and mentoring engineers on best practices for clean, maintainable systems. Key Responsibilities ● Cloud Systems: Assist in cloud system upgrades, security patches, and infrastructure management tasks under the guidance of senior engineers. ● Performance Testing: Participate in cloud platforms and understand how to use and test AI workflows for improvements and facilitation of faster development for CI/CD, software architecture, and performance monitoring to proactively identify and resolve potential issues. ● Troubleshoot Technology Systems: Identify and resolve technical issues related to machine learning workflows, cloud infrastructure and system integrations. ● Production-Ready Systems: Design and deploy robust ML pipelines in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, ensuring smooth integration into existing systems. Build and refine ML pipelines that handle complex data workflows and large-scale datasets; ensuring smooth integration into existing systems. Partner on the end-to-end design of ML solutions, from data ingestion to deployment ● Collaboration and Alignment: Partner with engineering teams to deploy, scale, and monitor ML Operations and cloud based solutions. ● Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. ● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align ML initiatives with SynthBee’s objectives. ● Risk and Compliance Management: Ensure cloud systems comply with security and regulatory standards, particularly in handling sensitive data and critical applications. ● Perform other related duties as assigned or as directed. The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
