Software Principal Engineer (Fullstack Storage, Java|Python|Go)

What you’ll achieve

At PowerFlex we pride ourselves on the flexibility, performance, and reliability of our software-defined distributed storage solutions. As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge software while providing creative solutions based on our business needs.

You will:

  • Design, develop, and own complex software features across the agile lifecycle – from requirements and design to implementation, testing, and long-term support
  • Develop in microservices architecture in various services and languages
  • Work with peers, partake in design reviews while driving best practices to constantly improve the quality of our product
  • Design and implement algorithms to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Experiment with and integrate emerging AI infrastructure and tools into the development workflow to boost productivity and innovation

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development, writing in Java/Python/Go
  • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency in AI-augmented software engineering — practical use of LLM-based coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Devin, Cursor) and familiarity with supporting patterns such as prompt engineering, context management, and MCP integrations.
  • Team player, with good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently when required
  • Experience developing in microservice architecture

Desirable Requirements

  • Hands on Kubernetes experience
  • Hands on experience with Public and Private Cloud
