Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer to support a growing manufacturing and repair operation in the Franklin, Indiana area. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in regulated environments and brings strong experience in quality systems, audits, corrective actions, inspection processes, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will support product and process quality across MRO and OEM-related activities, while partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain high standards and drive compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of quality engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience
Strong experience in regulated manufacturing quality systems
Proficiency in Excel, including organizing/analyzing data and pivot tables
Proficiency in statistics and data analysis
Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documentation
Strong root cause / corrective action experience
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass required screening
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Aerospace, aviation, MRO, or OEM quality experience
Experience supporting AS9100 or similar quality systems
Experience with APQP/PPAP and AS9102 FAI documentation
Experience supporting customer, supplier, and regulatory audits
Experience with MRB and nonconforming material disposition
Experience with dimensional inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gages
ERP exposure in a manufacturing environment
Lean Six Sigma certification or training
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Support methods to inspect, test, and evaluate products and production equipment
Ensure products and processes adhere to established quality standards
Analyze quality data and maintain monthly quality metrics
Support internal, supplier, customer, and regulatory audit activity
Create and support APQP/PPAP and AS9102 FAI documentation
Investigate customer concerns and warranty issues through corrective action and root cause analysis
Support MRB activity and disposition of nonconforming material
Perform dimensional inspection and interpret blueprints, certifications, and industry specifications
