Description

We are seeking a Network Engineer who will be responsible for transport network design and engineering, network routing protocols, and advanced virtual networking technologies in a timely and effective manner.

The Network Engineering Team plays a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of the client environment. This individual will be responsible for one or more of the following:

  • Performing upgrades and performing routine network operations and maintenance (O&M).
  • Identifying and implementing INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for the network.
  • Complex configuration management techniques and requirements for managing network systems
  • Network operating and maintenance concepts and methods used to troubleshoot network problems for LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN and VoIP
  • Cisco IOS, including switching, routing, segment routing and other technologies
  • Radio Frequency (RF) and spectrum engineering
  • Optical networking technology and engineering
  • Satellite communications engineering

Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in network/cloud/virtual environment engineering or a related role.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required for this position.
