Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Process Engineer to enhance the maturity, discipline, and strategic direction of our Process Engineering function. This pivotal role is designed for an experienced professional capable of providing support with the team, strengthening engineering fundamentals, and driving proactive, high-value operational impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Work within Process Engineering team with other members to strengthen engineering discipline and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting issues and guiding documentation updates.
  • Drive strategic, high-impact process improvements focused on cost, quality, yield, and throughput.
  • Manage and justify capital projects, including spend decisions, business cases, and execution.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Develop process maps, control plans, FMEAs, and standardized work tools.
  • Execute and oversee cross-functional projects, balancing line support with project work.
  • Evaluate equipment, technologies, and processes to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Support new product manufacturability and process scale-up.
  • Create clear technical reports, data analyses, and project updates.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in project management and process improvement.
  • Nice to have: Experience with capital equipment and process engineering.
  • Plus: Leadership development and experience in a Manufacturing/Process Engineering role.
  • Plus: Experience in capital expenditure and strategic planning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Polymer).
  • 2 to 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing or Process Engineering role.
  • Experience with projecting capital equipment needs and developing strategic timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and act on data.
  • Must meet requirements for U.S. export control regulations.

Work Environment

The role involves spending 70% of the time on the manufacturing floor and 30% in the office. It requires extensive interaction with various departments, including R&D, Operations, and Engineering, and significant engagement with technicians on the floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $57.00/hr.
