Akkodis is seeking a Java Technical Lead for a Contract position with a client in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java/J2EE, Oracle, Microservices Architecture, DevOps tooling, and enterprise‑level solution design.

Rate Range: $80/hour to $84/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Technical Lead job responsibilities include:

• Build and set up development tools and infrastructure using CI/CD, cloud technologies, container orchestration, and security best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines to improve development efficiency.
• Develop and enhance Java/J2EE and Microservices‑based applications and architectures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
• Conduct security assessments and implement secure development and deployment standards.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to DevOps and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and serve as a subject matter expert across multiple engineering teams.
• Drive problem‑solving discussions and contribute to key architectural and technology decisions.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize existing delivery processes for innovation and efficiency.

Professional & Technical Qualifications:

• 15+ years of professional experience in software development and solution architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Microservices Architecture, and enterprise design patterns.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, GitHub/GitLab CI/CD, Angular, React.js, and DevOps principles.
• Strong experience designing secure and scalable enterprise architectures.
• Ability to lead teams, guide decision‑making, and engage with senior technical stakeholders.
• Preferred experience in Supply Chain environments.

Pay Details: $80.00 to $84.00 per hour
