Akkodis is seeking a Java Backend developer for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA. Candidate must have strong expertise in developing Java Spring Boot microservices and secure REST APIs for enterprise‑scale applications.

Rate Range: $58/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Backend developer job responsibilities include:

  • Develop Java Spring Boot microservices and secure REST APIs, ensuring scalable and reliable backend functionality for enterprise applications.
  • Implement resilience patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, and rate limiting to maintain system stability and fault tolerance.
  • Containerize backend services using Docker and deploy them on Kubernetes clusters while integrating CI/CD automation.
  • Enhance system performance and reliability by enabling observability, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps, product, and operations teams to optimize deployments and refine application behavior.
  • Support L2/L3 production operations by diagnosing issues, applying fixes, and ensuring smooth service continuity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of backend development experience with advanced Java concepts.
  • Strong proficiency in building Spring Boot microservices, secure REST APIs, and implementing resilience patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, and rate limiting.
  • Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and providing L2/L3 production support in enterprise environments.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $60.00 per hour
