AWS Java Junior Developer

The Junior Java Developer will support the development and maintenance of cloud-based Java applications within a secure federal technology environment. The developer will contribute to building scalable applications and services deployed within AWS cloud infrastructure. This role provides an opportunity to work alongside senior engineers while gaining experience with modern Java frameworks, cloud-native development, and secure software engineering practices.

Candidates must hold an active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

WORK SITE: Remote

PAY RATE: $75.00 -$80.00

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and maintain Java applications within AWS cloud environments
  • Assist in building RESTful services and microservices using Spring Boot
  • Support application deployments and integration within AWS infrastructure
  • Participate in code reviews and development testing
  • Troubleshoot software issues and support system improvements
  • Assist in implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Maintain documentation and development artifacts
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years of Java development experience
  • Experience with Java and object-oriented programming
  • Exposure to AWS cloud services
  • Experience with REST APIs and modern development frameworks
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
