Located in Appleton, WI
Salary: up to $27.00/HR
Hours:
1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00am - 2:00pm
2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:00pm - 12:00am
Pay: up to $27.00/HR, based on experience
Duties:
- Perform mechanical assembly of emergency vehicle components including structural parts, lighting systems, bumpers, brackets, and mounted equipment.
- Install and route wiring, electrical components, and lighting systems according to assembly drawings and specifications.
- Assemble and mount mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and calibrated torque equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate installation and proper alignment of components.
- Assist with integration of electrical and mechanical systems throughout the vehicle build process.
- Verify that all installed parts meet company quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, function, and overall build quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members across production to support efficient workflow and on‑time build completion.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in high‑level mechanical or electrical assembly, automotive, equipment build, or related technical roles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical work instructions.
- Proficiency using common hand tools, power tools, and torque tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with assembly work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced production environment.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with vehicle upfitting, heavy equipment assembly, or emergency vehicle manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring, or 12V components.
- Prior experience working with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
