Akkodis is seeking a Sr Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will design and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that power both batch and real‑time data processing.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable Big Data pipelines using Spark (PySpark/Spark SQL) for both batch and real‑time processing.
• Build robust ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and integrate structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.
• Architect and implement end‑to‑end cloud data solutions on GCP, leveraging services such as BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
• Develop high‑performance SQL and Python-based data solutions to support analytics, reporting, and data modeling needs.
• Implement CI/CD, DevOps practices, and workflow orchestration (Airflow/Composer) to automate, monitor, and ensure reliability of data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, enhance data quality, and drive continuous improvement of data platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of hands‑on experience in Big Data engineering, cloud data platforms, and large‑scale distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in Python, Spark, and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real‑time processing.
• Proven experience designing and delivering data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Composer).

Pay Details: $37.00 to $47.00 per hour
