The Front End Developer position is for Data & Analytics team within The Sales & Service value stream.

The Sales & Service value stream provides digital solutions and processes for marketing, sales and services to enable and empower a digital customer and employee experience.

The Alfa Laval data strategy for enabling analytics is to utilize Global Data Analytics Hub (GDAH). GDAH is a modern data platform Alfa Laval built on Azure Databricks. The data platform is a Lakehouse designed on the pattern of medallion architecture which brings the best elements of data lakes and data warehouses. It supports diverse data applications, such as analytics, real-time monitoring, data science, and machine learning.

We leverage the data foundation in GDAH with Power BI Service analytics platform to provide our business users interactive dashboards and reports. This enables supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Our Data & Analytics team consist of:

• six Data Engineers focusing on the backend development within GDAH
• one Business Analyst focusing on requirement gathering and Power BI
• one Solution Architect
• one Product Owner
• one Scrum Master

We’re now looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Front End Developer with Business Analyst interest to join our team. In this assignment you are going to:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI semantic models and reports with engineering in mind using best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support our Business Analyst and collaborate with stakeholders and user experience specialists to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear, compelling manner.

As part of the job, you keep yourself updated within the world of analytics. Together with your colleagues, you participate in evaluations of new tools and technology.

What you know

To succeed you have:

• Strong proficiency in Power BI (design, development, and deployment)
• Solid understanding of data modeling, DAX, and visualization best practices
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse architecture (Lakehouse), concepts and modelling (Kimball)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Living collaboration with UX team
• Analytical and structured mindset with attention to detail
• Good experience with SQL
• Some knowledge of Databricks is a plus as this is the data platform from which all analytics will be based
• Experience in working agile (SAFe is a plus) in larger team with different locations.
• Be a team player and have an agile and open mindset
