Job Description

Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

— Take a leadership role in project and design work in the form of the preparation of drawings and models as delegated in

support of technical and commercial industry standards

— Assisting more senior BIM Technicians and Coordinators with the analysis of tasks and problems.

— Check / ensure drawings comply with specific Project Design Brief Instructions and all details are being carried out

correctly to WSP Standards and QA Procedures.

— Building an understanding of intermediate discipline-based design concepts.

— Intermediate level of understanding of company standards, procedures and policies.

— Participate in training activities to extend and share own knowledge.

— Develop a basic understanding of project technology tools required for digital project delivery.

— Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.

— Liaise and communicate with project delivery teams.

— Develop an awareness of project delivery risk and mitigation techniques

— Report and liaise with the Senior BIM Technician/BIM Coordinator/ Manager on all technical and personnel issues.

— Other duties as directed by BIM Coordinator/ Manager, to help the company provide outstanding service to its customers

Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable):

— Technical competence commensurate with a Project BIM Technician’s role.

— A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or any related course

— Knowledgeable in Revit Structures & AutoCAD

— Skills in Dynamo and coding is a plus

— Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Applications

— Good English communication Skills

Experience, skills and organisational knowledge

— Typically 6+ years’ of relevant experience.

— High level modelling and detailing skills.

— High level of understanding of 3D CAD software and standards.

— High level design skills on small to medium sized projects.

— Proficient knowledge of BIM and design led BIM within WSP Property disciplines, project models and appreciation of multidisciplinary BIM process.

— Good skills in coordination of 3D interdisciplinary BIM software, review and checking.

— Experience in developing and maintaining client relationships.

— Conversant in most manners of Construction Methodology & Project Delivery methods.

— Contributed to building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organisation. — Active participation in IQBE initiatives and Discipline Plans.

— Developing experience in supervising others on tasks.

— Working knowledge of WSP's organisational capability and how to access it.

— Working knowledge of systems, procedures and practices.

— Working knowledge of organisational approach to risk management, ethics and safety.
