Door Panel Assembler

$19/HR

1st Shift 6am-2:30pm Monday - Friday

Position Summary: This position performs daily assembly of door panels from parts machined to completion.

Essential Functions

QUALIFICATIONS

• Take machined extrusions and prep for assembly.
• Be able to follow cut list and produce what the list requires.
• Using hand tools (electric, pneumatic, manual) install all components.
• Build, clean, and inspect your work to assure completed correctly.
• Assist the door boxer with packaging of the finished product.
• Must be available for overtime when required by customer demand.
• This may include Saturdays and extended hours daily.
• Staying to the end to assure all the products needed are completed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Must be able to read prints and understand measuring equipment such as tape measures, scales, and decimals/fraction measures.
• Must be dependable, responsible, and have a “team” thinking attitude.
• Must be organized, learn quickly, and keep work area productive.
• Must follow instructions from the Line Supervisor.

Education, Training, Experience

High school diploma or GED is required.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands Work is performed in a factory with some exposure to weather conditions and extreme temperatures. It is noisy at times. Sitting, lifting, walking, and bending are required. This position must regularly lift 50 lbs. The individual will encounter dusty or dirty environments with potential safety hazards in addition to lengthy intervals of standing on concrete floors.
