Alithya’s Mainframe Modernization team is looking for dynamic individuals to help shape and build the future of legacy application modernization. We are working on an exciting service that involves analyzing, refactoring, and deploying modern code from legacy applications, empowering our clients to achieve their most ambitious goals.

As an intermediate Full-Stack Java Developer, you’ll collaborate with experts throughout the entire code modernization process. Your work will enhance the performance, availability, scalability, and sustainability of our clients’ applications. You’ll gain a deep understanding of the implementation and operation of a complex modernization system, while working closely with an Agile team that delivers continuously. In this role, you’ll see the real-world impact of your contributions across a wide range of clients.

Your day-to-day

• Lead development efforts by translating complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design;
• Design solutions;
• Contribute to key architectural decisions.

Keys to your success

• Bachelor’s degree in software development;
• Over 1 year of professional experience in software development;
• Advanced knowledge of Java, the Spring ecosystem, and Angular;
• Knowledge of Java (advanced JVM, multithreading, performance tuning), Spring (Core, Security, Data JPA, JTA), Angular (services, TypeScript, components, advanced routing), databases (architecture, Redis caching, performance evaluation), architecture (system design, AWS cloud platforms), various tools (advanced Git, Maven, IDE [Eclipse/IntelliJ]), and testing (integration, end-to-end, automation);
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles;
• Broad and in-depth knowledge of software development practices;
• Ability to effectively solve complex problems;
• Strong communication skills.

• French: Proficient
• English: Proficient

Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a daily basis with clients outside of Quebec.
