Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Location: Round Rock, TX

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (No weekends)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑driven Pharmacist in Charge to lead the launch and daily operations of a brand‑new pharmacy location in Round Rock. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in autonomy, excels in operational leadership, and is ready to build something exceptional from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge in compliance with all state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Lead all startup efforts for the new pharmacy, ensuring full operational readiness from day one.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Oversee medication preparation, dispensing, verification, and documentation processes with precision.
• Ensure continuous readiness for regulatory inspections and accreditation reviews.
• Maintain accurate records, inventory management, and compliance documentation.
• Represent the pharmacy through internal communication and community‑focused events designed to promote services and drive engagement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree.
• 5+ years of experience as a Pharmacist in Charge preferred.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Confident communicator, including at the executive level.
• Proven ability to operate a pharmacy independently, with exceptional inventory management capabilities.
• Experience in startup, closed‑door, or clinic‑adjacent pharmacy environments is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Round Rock, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $69.00 - $76.00/hr.
