Job Summary:

The Logistics Jr. Supervisor supports the logistics team by overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials. This role involves coordinating with warehouse staff, transportation providers, and other stakeholders to manage inventory levels, track shipments, and resolve any logistical issues. The Logistics Jr. Supervisor assists in implementing process improvements, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and providing training to team members.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Coordination

  • Oversee and coordinate daily logistics operations
  • Develop and implement efficient logistics processes
  • Track and monitor inventory levels
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services
  • Monitor and report on transportation and warehousing activities

Cost Management

  • Analyze and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Monitor logistics expenses and create budget plans

  • Provide regular cost reports to upper management

Quality Control

  • Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments

  • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems.
  • Ability to develop and implement inventory optimization strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of international trade laws and customs regulations.
