Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Junior Data Scientist - Artificial Intelligence for Systems (f/m) to join our Artificial Intelligence for Systems Team (ARTIST) based in Toulouse, France.

You will join the Data Management & AI team within the Data-Driven Services & Aircraft Maintenance Community. Your primary focus will be on developing AI/Data Science solutions to create clear added-value for the aircraft system design community, with an initial assignment centered on embedded aircraft systems for computer vision applications (Cockpit).

Your challenges:

• Design algorithms and data solutions for digital services and aircraft systems together with experienced data scientists, with a focus on embedded systems for computer vision (Cockpit).
• Develop innovative data-driven services in collaboration with experienced engineers, focusing on value creation and specific business needs.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders, including Programs, R&T, Engineering, and IT.
• Contribute to the vision and strategy for AI-based solutions and improvements for Aircraft Systems, Services, and Ways of Working.

Your boarding pass:

• Master degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent.
• Expertise in Machine Learning algorithms & tools linked to supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
• Proficiency in development environments & programming languages like Python, PySpark, Linux Shell Scripting, and NoSQL databases.
• Negotiation level in English; knowledge of French or German would be a plus.

Following experience and competences would be a plus for the role:

• Initial work experience in the domain of Advanced Statistics, Machine Learning & Deep Learning methods, preferably around computer vision.
• Experience in industrialization and implementation of solutions in a production environment.
• Knowledge and experience in computer vision applications (significant plus).

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
