We are looking for a Windows Cloud Engineer to join our cloud operations and engineering teams. In this role, you will provide independent Level 2 (L2) support for Windows Server environments and act as the main escalation point for L1 engineers.

You will be responsible for resolving the majority of Windows infrastructure and application issues autonomously, while escalating architectural or highly complex problems to Senior engineers.

The role is open in various locations such as Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Ruse and Burgas.

The position includes On-call duties.

To keep it short, below are some key responsibilities:

  • Provide independent Level 2 (L2) technical support for Windows Server environments, ensuring stability, availability, and performance
  • Act as the primary escalation point for L1 engineers, supporting them in troubleshooting and validating resolutions
  • Resolve complex Windows infrastructure and application incidents autonomously, escalating to Seniors only when necessary
  • Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory services, including Group Policy, authentication, and access-related issues
  • Support and troubleshoot Failover Cluster environments, including clustered applications and services
  • Support Microsoft SQL Server at application level only, focusing on service availability and application connectivity
  • Configure, secure, and maintain IIS-based applications, including certificates, bindings, and performance tuning
  • Investigate and respond to monitoring alerts using Zabbix, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Execute and improve automation tasks using existing Ansible playbooks
  • Participate actively in incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to higher service quality
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and runbooks, ensuring effective L1 handover and operational consistency
  • Collaborate closely with Senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth platform operations

Requirements and technical knowledge:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration (2016 / 2019 / 2022)
  • Good working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Practical understanding of Failover Clustering and high-availability concepts
  • Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting IIS
  • Microsoft SQL Server support at application level (connectivity, services)
  • Experience working with monitoring and alerts (Zabbix optional)
  • Basic experience with automation and scripting (Ansible optional)
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals and load-balancing concepts
