We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join an inter-disciplinary research group focused on using systems thinking, environmental modelling and data science to address contemporary environmental challenges. Research focus will be on enabling systemic change and the deep transformations required for a truly sustainable future. Incremental improvements are no longer sufficient. Addressing today’s crises demands fundamental shifts in economic, political, and social systems, moving beyond harm reduction toward the regeneration of healthy, resilient systems.
The position will be based within the Centre for Environmental Policy, a centre of excellence in environmental research, education and policy development. The Postdoctoral Research Associate
You will conduct high-impact research on the processes, barriers, and drivers of sustainability transformation according to project needs. The role involves investigating how social, built, and governance infrastructures can enable equitable, low-carbon, and regenerative pathways.
The post is part time (50%), fixed term for 24 months with the possibility of extension. It is based maily at the Centre for Environmental Policy with occasional travel to other Imperial sites.
