Cabot Corporation is seeking a Sr Lab Technical Operator to join our Performance Chemicals team at our Billerica, Massachusetts technical center. Within our Performance Chemicals segment, we develop high‑value materials used across automotive, construction, batteries, consumer products, infrastructure, and electronics.
As a Senior Lab Technical Operator, you’ll support both the Battery Materials and Carbon Silica Technologies teams by contributing to the development, testing, and optimization of Performance Chemicals products and processes. Your work will include hands‑on experimentation, sample preparation, data collection, and operating large, heavy equipment that goes beyond standard bench‑scale chemistry setup. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys practical, equipment‑focused lab work in a fast‑paced environment where every day brings something new.
Our portfolio includes specialty carbons, specialty compounds, battery materials, fumed metal oxides, and aerogel, that deliver color, conductivity, dispersion, mechanical strength, UV protection, thermal insulation, and high‑purity performance. As customers advance technologies in energy storage, plastics, packaging, and light-weighting, your work helps bring these innovations to life.
This role is fully onsite in Billerica, MA.
