We are seeking a SAP BTP Platform Engineer to contribute to the reliability, performance, andtransparency of our SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) environment. In this position, youwill be responsible for implementing and maintaining observability solutions across applicationsand services deployed on BTP, thereby facilitating proactive monitoring, intelligent alerting, andcomprehensive system behavior visibility

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of robust BTP Applications.
• Have hands-on understanding of containerization and orchestration concepts for designing and building scalable and resilient modern event and micro-services based systems
• Configure and manage connectivity infrastructure, implement security best practices, and set up monitoring and alerting systems.
• Support development teams in integrating applications with BTP Applications/services and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure and robust application architectures for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Understands and uses monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to continuously assess and improve system reliability, and performance.
• Have passion to drive automation to streamline manual processes and enhance productivity across the organization.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, configurations, deployment procedures, and runbooks; Create and maintain knowledge base articles.
• Contribute to BTP platform strategy, evaluate new services, and recommend platform upgrades. Mentor/Train junior team member on the BTP Platform’s best practices as training and coaching

Minimum Qualifications

• 7- 10 years of Experience in the relevant field.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant major.
• SAP BTP certification (Administrator, Cloud Platform Associate, or related)
• Proven experience as a BTP Platform Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience with cloud security and identity management (OAuth, SAML, mTLS)
• Experience administering SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) or migration from SCP to BTP Understanding of networking concepts on Cloud, like VPCs/Subnets, Firewalls and Load Balancers

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 7years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP or equivalent cloud platform Knowledge of Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, and Workflow services on BTP
• Experience with database technologies (SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar)
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and microservices design patterns Familiarity with audit and compliance management tools
• Knowledge of APIs and modern integration patterns
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation
