Ansell is looking for a Manager Market Intelligence in Mexico!

In this position you will be responsible for mining and communicating insights on macro and industry trends that will inform commercial and product strategy, utilizing a variety of quantitative and qualitative sources. The manager will synthesize available data and coordinate collection of qualitative insights from sales team members and customers to make recommendations to the commercial and product organization on ways to capitalize on potential opportunities based on the latest market trends, vertical development and competitive activity. This role will work closely with the business intelligence team to quantify size of the various markets across the Americas, informing commercial strategy. The scope of this role will cover the Americas region across all commercial units (IND, MED and SCI)

What your role will be?

a) Manage the gathering of information from a variety of internal and external sources regarding competitors’ strategy, concentration, financial results, targeted markets, merger & acquisition activities, product development.

b) Develops holistic (marketing, managed markets), predictive landscape assessments and performs other ad hoc analyses to proactively address issues in support of business objectives, mitigate decision risk, develop action plan, and communicate recommendations to commercial and product leadership teams.

c) Independently provides actionable recommendations based on

o thorough analysis of internal and external business issues and environmental factors

o careful assessment of available data and determination of knowledge gaps

o translating data into trends with estimated business impact; proactively translates business challenges into research briefings and analysis

d) Leverages broad decision-influence role to provide strategic, insight-driven recommendations to enhance Market development tactics, and promotional tools, guide business development and co-marketing opportunities.

e) Collaborate on the process to measure market size and share, gathering competitive and key external information about the marketplace including customers, distribution channels and competition to support the development of strategic insights including

o Analyze market conditions and competitor developments

o Manage additional quantitative and qualitative market research projects to support the needs of the CU and potentially BU.

o Develop and maintain relationships with external research and data providers.

f) Gather and evaluate relevant market and competitor information to review market position and determine threats and opportunities

g) Identify potential new business opportunities outside of the traditional industries and verticals. Measure the potential entitlement and competitive landscape. Determine if we have the right distribution set up in place to successfully target the end users. List the key success factor to penetrate new industries.

h) Identify and assess the data sources to best meet the commercial needs of the Americas commercial teams

What will you bring to Ansell?

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business, or Marketing

Job Experience

  • 3-5 years’ minimum experience in market/business analysis, management consulting, investment banking or working within corporate strategy and corporate development functions

Knowledge and Skills & Desirable Job Competencies

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Significant finance statement analysis and modelling
  • Highly organized and attention to detail
  • Project management skillset
  • High degree of proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
