Apple Data Platform is looking for a Manager committed to lead our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. Whether you're thinking Site or Service, this SRE organization has ownership of it all. We're as actively involved in the design of the platform, its evolution and overall availability, reliability and scalability. Our SREs are experts on our services from the software running down to the hardware used.
As the SRE Manager in Bengaluru, you will build a world-class SRE team from scratch and enhance Apple's data platform reliability presence in India. You will be responsible for hiring, training, and developing SREs who will take over 12-hour oncall shifts as part of our Follow-the-Sun operating model. Beyond on-call, you and your team will own key reliability projects, driving improvements to our alerting, automation, and operational tooling. You will partner closely with our other US and India based SRE teams to ensure seamless handoffs, shared context, and consistent reliability practices across timezones. This role requires someone who can operate independently, build trust remotely, and transmit SRE culture to a new team. You will design and execute training programs that prepare your team for oncall readiness, establish blameless postmortem practices, and create an environment where engineers can grow their careers.
