We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Senior/Lead Scala Engineer to join our team. You will play a leading role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving technical excellence. Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance and scalable systems using Scala
- Develop, maintain, and improve services and core applications in a production environment
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable solutions
- Mentor team members to enhance engineering practices and promote a collaborative environment
- Take responsibility for debugging and resolving critical production issues efficiently
- Explore emerging tools and technologies to enhance the development process
- Define and maintain technical documentation for system workflows and architecture
- Contribute to project planning, requirements gathering, and solution design
- Prioritize tasks and lead efforts to meet project milestones effectively
- Collaborate across distributed teams in different time zones to drive projects forward
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in developing with Scala, Node.js, and Typescript, with familiarity in PHP and/or gRPC considered a bonus
- Background in scaling and optimizing high-throughput applications
- Competency in Agile development methodologies and team collaboration
- Ability to contribute to project discovery, design, and successful implementation
- Skills in producing clear and concise technical documentation
- Fluency in English (B2+ level) with effective communication skills
