Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033

Work hours: PRN; Days- 7:00 am-7:00 pm weekends are required by contract

Labor and Delivery highlights:

• Average 120 deliveries per month

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
• BSN (Preferred)
• 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
• 1 years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
• RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required) And
• NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required) And
• IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire) And
• NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
