There is currently a Material Planner on Medical Leave. This has caused a significant amount of extra work on the SC team and is not sustainable. This position would support the SC team. This would enable adequate coverage while the Material Planner is on medical leave and also provide support if a modified/reduced schedule is required, if needed, if the Material Planner returns to his role. If the Material Planner does return fully to his role, the contractor would be available to support other improvement projects and initiatives in the Supply Chain and could provide support to the team during the IBP project which will require a lot of resource support.
The Supply Chain Contractor will support the Americas Crosslinkers Supply Chain Team. The position will initially support day to day Material Planning responsibilities. This includes execution of the supply chain including inventory management, purchase orders, and stock transfers. They will work with 3rd party tollers related to scheduling production, suppliers of traded goods, raw material suppliers, internal production plants, 3rd party warehouses. They will be an inventory control specialist managing inventory levels, inventory health, and stock transfers. They will work closely with Customer Service, Logistics, Marketing, and other Supply Chain team members. The role may also include or transition to supporting other supply chain improvement initiatives, projects, analysis, data updates, or other supply chain support as needed.
