Job Summary:

We are seeking a Power Solution Quality Engineer who can assist product development and validation of server power supply and related products. This individual will be required to work cross-department and assist product managers (PM) as needed in product development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strong background and experience for quality improvement process and issue handling/driving ability.
2. Plan and coordinate TQM projects.
3. Good concept of IQC process, AQL standard and component test method.
4. General knowledge of PCBA processes including SMT, DIP, Assembly, Testing, Packing will be an advantage.
5. Preferrable candidate who are familiar with IPC-A-610 electronic manufacturing standard and ability to do trouble shooting on PCBA quality issues.
6. Requires the ability to analyze production failure data and coordinate with relevant departments to track issues, generate improvement reports, and assess feasibility for corrective actions.
7. Ability conduct root cause analysis for defects and quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence will be advantage.

Technical Skills:

1. Audit Techniques (Internal Audit, Supplier Audit)
2. SOP / WI Establishment and Improvement (Standard Operating Procedure / Work Instruction)
3. Improvement Tools (e.g., 8D Report, 5 Whys, Ishikawa Diagram)
4. Process Analysis and Optimization (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping)
5. Quality Inspection Processes (IQC, IPQC, FQC, OQC)
6. Sampling Plans and Techniques (e.g., MIL-STD-105E, AQL)
7. Common Defect Analysis (e.g., Short Circuit, Cold Solder, Misalignment, Scratches)
8. Measurement Tool Operation (e.g., Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge)
9. Test Equipment Usage and Maintenance (e.g., LCR Meter, Hi-pot Tester)

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Computer, Communication, or a related discipline) is preferred; a Master’s degree will be considered an added advantage, with around 5 years of relevant engineering or quality-related experience being desirable.
2. Around 3 years of hands-on or practical exposure in areas such as customer support, customer quality, product quality engineering, or product test engineering is preferable and viewed as an advantage to the candidate.
3. Working knowledge or exposure to quality tools, basic statistics, and structured problem-solving techniques is desirable and considered value-added.
4. Experience or familiarity with microelectronics or surface mount technology (SMT) processes is preferred and will be treated as an added advantage.
5. Experience or exposure in supporting quality audits (e.g., internal, process, or supplier audits) and follow-up actions is preferable and considered an added value.
6. Familiarity with SOP or Work Instruction (WI) development, review, or improvement activities is desirable, with hands-on involvement being an advantage to the candidate.
7. Ability or willingness to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Production, Engineering, Supplier Quality) to support quality improvement initiatives and data-driven decision-making is preferred.
