What To Expect
Tesla is seeking an experienced, Software Development Engineer to accelerate the automation and manufacturing of the cutting-edge Optimus Bot products. This position will bridge the manufacturing process to scalable, reliable, data pipelines used to accelerate the production learnings for ramping Tesla’s manufacturing capability. You will work on software and data pipelines from Dyno testers and PLCs. You will design event driven architecture for data pipelines to provide real-time updates to manufacturing metrics.
What You'll Do
Build scalable and reliable data pipelines for Optimus manufacturing lines to support cross functional teams
Monitor and maintain infrastructure health with robust alerting, logging and automation for scale and reliability
Collaborate with engineers across multiple departments on test software design and integration
Build automation and tools that accelerate analysis and visualization for mass manufacturing
Provide technical guidance to teams in query and programming best practices
Maintain VMs for databases, testers in production
Automate software development pipeline and alerts/logs for health monitoring of production systems
What You'll Bring
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
Programming Languages: Python, Go, Javascript/Typescript (optional) with 3+ years of experience in Software Development
Database management: MYSQL, Clickhouse with knowledge on query optimization and schema design
Experience working with Rest APIs & APIs for data ingestion
DevOps / CI/CD: Docker, Kubernetes, Github Actions, Jenkins, Ansible

Expected Compensation
$120,000 - $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
