POSITION SUMMARY
The ED or Vice President of Cybersecurity Operations is responsible for leading the organization's cybersecurity defense efforts, overseeing the detection, response, and mitigation of security threats. This executive role ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of digital assets and infrastructure by developing strategies, policies, and operational procedures aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, including policies, standards, and procedures.
- Lead and oversee cybersecurity operations teams responsible for threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Manage security incident response processes to ensure timely detection, containment, and remediation of security breaches.
- Collaborate with IT, risk management, compliance, and executive leadership to align security initiatives with organizational goals.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies; adjust strategies proactively.
- Establish and maintain security awareness programs and training for staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, ISO standards).
- Oversee the management of security tools, systems, and infrastructure.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
- Lead cybersecurity audits and assessments, working with external auditors as needed.
- Prepare and present cybersecurity reports and metrics to executive leadership and board of directors.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies suitable for the organization
- Vendor management for outsourced services and products onboarded
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Proven experience (12+ years) in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations.
- Strong Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, Cloud and Networks
- Experience managing security technologies such as SIEM, endpoint protection, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience in managing technical teams
- Experience in security tools and forensic analysis.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CTO) are preferred.
