Job Description

Your Impact as a Bather

As a Bather, you will be a key part of our grooming department, responsible for providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all pets. You will support our groomers by performing baths, prepping patients for their appointments, and ensuring the constant cleanliness of the grooming suite.

Your Impact Will Include:

  • Providing Patient Care: You'll administer cleansing or medicated baths, perform nail trims, ear cleanings, and anal gland expressions, and ensure all pets have water and are walked.
  • Monitoring Animal Health: You will be responsible for recognizing and recording any unusual conditions or abnormal behavior in patients, bringing these concerns to the attending groomer or veterinarian.
  • Managing Client Handoffs: You'll assist with admitting and releasing patients, ensuring all belongings are accounted for and that every animal is clean and properly groomed.
  • Maintaining the Grooming Suite: You will perform all general maintenance of the grooming room and yard, including cleaning and disinfecting cages, tubs, tables, and equipment to OSHA standards.
  • Educating Clients: You'll demonstrate knowledge of our products and be able to explain and educate clients on their purchases and use.

  • The ability to sympathetically and patiently work with fractious, injured, or ill patients.
  • The ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor, including bathing and lifting pets onto tables.
  • Strong client service skills and the ability to assess client needs and ensure satisfaction.
