About the Business Unit Tax & Accounting Software

The Business Unit Tax & Accounting Software develops and sells products for tax and accounting professionals. Our BU offers a wide range of software solutions: ERP software; accounting, financial and tax advisory, and practice management software.

To support the digital transformation of our BU, we are looking for a Senior Backend Developer Cloud Solutions.

You will work with a team of about 6 people located across different sites. You will mainly work from one of our Porto office, but occasionally travel to other locations.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in transitioning our software products to the cloud. Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Being part of an agile development team that values timely delivery of high-quality cloud software
• Focusing on one ongoing project while also being involved in new initiatives
• Developing business logic, designing database interactions, and APIs
• Understanding the basic principles of testing and test automation
• Accurately estimating the impact of requirements on technology and applications based on your expertise
• Challenging requirements and designs and providing constructive input
• Handling complex architectures and code structures
• Collaborating closely with the Technical Architect and Product Owner
• Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues

You’ll join a dynamic and ambitious team! The role offers variety and autonomy. You’ll work with up-to-date tools, databases, and documentation to perform your job efficiently.
