What Will You Do?

As a Safety Risk Consultant in the Risk Management Resources Center, you will provide timely and quality risk management counsel and service to internal and external customers. You will serve as the risk management resource to help clients mitigate and prevent losses, and demonstrates the value of Federated's risk management services to potential clients. This role requires an individual with strong communication and relationship-building skills, serving as a resource and offering strategies and recommendations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Additional job duties include:

  • Provide consultation, information, and service remotely to internal and external customers to meet their risk management needs.
  • Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of safety, risk management, and Federated's risk management services, products, and benefits available to customers.
  • Analyze data, draws conclusions, and offers risk management solutions in an easy to follow format.
  • Builds relationships with clients by educating, training, and teaching them how to use our systems to build and take ownership for their own risk management program.
  • Serve as a resource for other departments by reviewing and approving the content of their risk management information to ensure a consistent, appropriate, and accurate message is delivered to clients and prospects.
  • Conduct safety meetings and/or presentations on various safety topics either through technology methods or in person. This includes organizing and preparing information for risk management seminars.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends about issues facing our customers' types of business.

Qualifications Required:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Prefer 3 years' experience demonstrating risk management exposure knowledge.
  • Strong computer knowledge. Excellent Microsoft Office skills including: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • An unquestioned ability to retain confidential business information.
  • Travel by car and/or plane occasionally.

This position is located in our Owatonna, MN office location.

Risk Consultant - Risk Management Resource Center pay range is $80,300 to $108,700. Pay may vary depending on job-related factors, individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information can be discussed with a member of the Recruiting team.
