you will be responsible for leading a team of backend developers and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems using Node.js for our global OTT platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of backend developers and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Work closely with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Design and develop scalable and secure backend systems using Node.js and related technologies.
• Ensure code quality, test coverage, and adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of integrated software solutions.
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of backend systems to ensure they meet or exceed service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and other technical forums to share knowledge and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends and evaluate their potential impact on DAZN's technology stack.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend development using Node.js and related technologies.
• Proven experience leading a team of developers and delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
