Akkodis is seeking a Software Developer for a Contract with a client in Cupertino, CA. The candidate will build and maintain Swift-based application automations that execute end-to-end workflows, including setup, performance measurement, and takedown.

Rate Range: $86/hour to $91/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Developer job responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain data models and database schemas across SQL, vector, and unstructured data stores.
• Optimize database/query performance (indexing, partitioning, caching) and ensure reliability at scale.
• Build and orchestrate scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows for analytics and application use cases.
• Develop full stack features and APIs using Java, Python, and SQL; integrate data services with front end and back-end components.
• Enforce data security, privacy, and compliance standards; implement governance, access controls, and auditing.
• Integrate and operate big data/warehouse platforms (e.g., Spark, Snowflake, Trino) and vector databases for high volume and semantic retrieval workloads.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years in software development (data modelling, database design/optimization, full stack) and 3+ years with big data/vector DB/warehouse tech (e.g., Trino, Spark, Snowflake).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, and Python, with proven experience designing scalable ETL/data pipelines and secure data architectures.
• Hands on expertise with SQL, vector, and unstructured databases; deep understanding of normalization/denormalization, performance tuning, and compliance/security best practices.

Pay Details: $86.00 to $91.00 per hour
