At E Tech Group, joining our team means joining a group of passionate and forward-thinking experts. We’re one of the largest engineering and system integration firms in the United States providing value for our clients through IT automation and control solutions for more than 30 years to the Life Sciences, Mission Critical, Metals & Mining, Warehousing & Distribution, and CPG/Food & Beverage industries. Our national and global scale allows us to help our clients develop and implement standardized solutions at any of their facilities regardless of physical location or the local resources available at that site.

We are seeking a Quality Manager to oversee the quality framework that ensures the flawless delivery of controls, monitoring, and integration solutions for enterprise data centers. This role safeguards reliability, uptime, and performance across projects by establishing rigorous quality standards, validating system functionality, and driving continuous improvement throughout the integration lifecycle.

You Will:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) tailored to data center integration projects, aligned with ISO 9001 and customer-specific standards.
  • Ensure adherence to industry requirements related to electrical safety, commissioning, cybersecurity, redundancy, and high-availability design principles.
  • Support internal audits and readiness for customer compliance reviews (e.g., Colocation audit frameworks).
  • Build quality plans for each data center project covering design reviews, panel build inspections, PLC/HMI/SCADA standards, and network configuration validation.
  • Oversee FATs, IFATs, and integrated site commissioning steps to ensure sequence-of-operations accuracy, redundancy performance, alarming strategies, and failover logic.
  • Validate that all systems meet stringent uptime expectations (Tier III/Tier IV) and comply with owner-furnished specs.
  • Implement repeatable test procedures for EPO systems, electrical monitoring, BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and third-party system integrations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, test records, and traceability for all hardware, software, and network configurations.
  • Drive rapid root-cause analysis for field issues, commissioning deviations, and system performance gaps.
  • Track and analyze quality KPIs—developing insights that reduce rework, minimize commissioning defects, and improve first-pass yield on high-volume, repeatable build programs.
  • Support process standardization across panel fabrication, software development, configuration management, and change control.
  • Enforce documentation accuracy for design packages, test plans, redlines/as-builts, network diagrams, firmware versions, and naming/tagging conventions.
  • Maintain strict configuration control for PLC logic, SCADA graphics, controller firmware, network settings, and sequence-of-operations changes across multi-phase build programs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for data center clients regarding quality expectations, audits, and escalations.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier performance (panel shops, component vendors, subcontractors), ensuring alignment to mission-critical standards.
  • Support qualification of new vendors for scalable data center programs.
  • Train engineering, technicians, and commissioning teams on quality processes, documentation controls, and data-center-specific reliability practices.
  • Be an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management within system integration, critical infrastructure, data centers, or industrial automation.
  • Strong knowledge of BMS/EPMS systems, PLC/SCADA architectures, networking fundamentals, and commissioning processes.
  • Experience with Tier standards (Uptime Institute), redundancy schemes (N+1, 2N), and mission-critical operating requirements.
  • Familiarity with Colocation design standards and commissioning workflows is highly preferred.
  • Certifications such as CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE, ASHRAE BCxP or Six Sigma are a plus.
  • A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.
