Job Title: Senior Linux Engineer (SAP & Hybrid Infrastructure)

Location: Wickliff, OH

Employment Type: Full-Time; Hybrid/On-site

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a highly skilled Senior Linux Engineer you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving management of Linux environments for SAP landscapes across hybrid infrastructures. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical Linux systems supporting SAP workloads, leveraging both on-premises HPE hardware and cloud platforms for high availability, scalability, and performance.

In this role, you will focus on:

• Linux Administration: Manage and optimize Linux servers (RHEL/SLES) for SAP applications and databases.
• Hybrid SAP Deployment: Design and support SAP landscapes across on-premises and cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• HPE Hardware Expertise: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot HPE ProLiant servers, Synergy composable infrastructure, and storage solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune Linux systems for SAP HANA and other SAP components.
• Automation & Orchestration: Develop scripts and use tools like Ansible for deployment, patching, and configuration management.
• High Availability & DR: Implement clustering (Pacemaker, Corosync), failover, and disaster recovery strategies for SAP workloads.
• Security & Compliance: Apply Linux hardening, patch management, and compliance standards.
• Capacity Planning: Forecast resource requirements for hybrid SAP environments.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and configuration records.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: 7+ years in Linux system administration, with 3+ years supporting SAP environments.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in RHEL and/or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP HANA, SAP application architecture, and hybrid deployment models.
  • Deep experience with HPE hardware (ProLiant, Synergy, 3PAR/Nimble storage).
  • Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Puppet) and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) for SAP workloads.
  • Expertise in networking & security: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and Linux security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward

• Certifications: RHCE, SUSE Certified Engineer, HPE ASE, or SAP Technology Associate.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud networking and storage integration.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with SAP Basis, cloud, and infrastructure teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
